FFXIV AF1 WHM 'Cleric' Gear Cosplay

So this is what I have been dedicating the past 2/3 weeks of my life to...making an AF1 gear set from Final Fantasy XIV for FanFest 2016 in Vegas.

I never got the chance to go to FanFest back in 2014 which is still something I regret to this day so when tickets went on sale for it this year, I made it a mission to be in attendance.  Not only did I make it out to the show this year, but I also decided to enter the costume contest and was accepted as one of the 50 entries.  ON TOP OF THAT, I made it to the top 20 (got to go on stage and everything).  It was one of the most humbling experiences I've had while in the cosplay hobby as every costume there was SO GOOD and everyone else was a big fan of the game!  Was a total different experience then your normal convention...all in all, it was probably the most fun I've had in a very long time and reminded me why I love this hobby so much...and not to mention this great game that brought all of us people together over a common interest.

So yeah...costume wise, it's made from white stretch sateen and a red cotton.  The skirt is an inverted box pleated skirt and the top was made with darts on front and rear.  I didn't use any zippers on the costume because I wanted it to be "period accurate" so all openings were fitting with grommets and laces.

Oh, and both Foxclon & Yoshi P signed my costume.

Did I say this was the best convention I've ever been to?  Cause it was the best convention I've ever been to.
