Homecoming by AngelCostumes Homecoming by AngelCostumes
New Pyramid Head costume by me. The new helmet was based off of the screens released of Pyramid Head from Silent Hill : Homecoming so far...which meant 2...lol.

After seeing some more pics after Otakon, it was actually very accurate.

Costume took an honorable mention in journeyman at Otakon 08.

Homecoming by *AngelCostumes A great costume and a good setting makes Pyramid Head look especially menacing. ( Featured by UnicornReality )

His 'helmet' looks like a cheese grater

But really you did an excellent job with the costume, photographer with composition, scene, as well as post-processing. Kudos to a job well done!

How did you make the helmet, and more importantly, how did you not break your neck wearing it?

The base of the helmet is made out of a material called chip board, which when then fiberglassed and smoothed out with body filler (Bondo). The inside has a lot of foam padding on it, so most of the weight is on the shoulders (and whatever does rest on my head is all on the foam so it was pretty comfy).

Interesting, how do you see through it?

This specific helmet was built "blind", aka no vision (as it was mainly for competition and photo shoots)...but if I were to do it again I would use a camera with a small screen mounted on the inside to be able to see. Fairly easy to install...just can get a little pricey.

Wow... this is pretty sweet!

I love the way you styled the helmet, and the blade as well. I also particularly like the way you've styled the photograph, to make it seem more... I dunno, "silent hill -esque".
